This zirconium oxide material offers exceptionally high strength, excellent chemical resistance, and superior wear resistance, along with high fracture toughness and low thermal conductivity.

It is also well known as the material used in cubic zirconia, commonly referred to as “fake diamonds,” and, owing to its excellent biocompatibility, is widely used in the medical and dental fields for applications such as artificial joints and dental prosthetics (crowns, bridges, and implant abutments).

In the industrial settings, it is used in gas analysis sensors and crucibles.
